The Mummy MOT® is an hour-long postnatal physiotherapy assessment in London, returning in January 2026 as part of Barbican Physio’s premium service range. It has been developed to provide women with clarity, confidence and a personalised rehabilitation plan following pregnancy and childbirth.
This comprehensive assessment includes:
- Pelvic floor evaluation
- Abdominal muscle screening
- Postural analysis
- Tailored advice to support safe, effective recovery
The aim is to identify areas that may be contributing to pain, weakness or dysfunction and provide clear, practical guidance to support long-term recovery and wellbeing.
Who the Mummy MOT® is for
As a specialist form of postnatal physiotherapy in London, the Mummy MOT® is suitable for any woman who has given birth, whether it has been six weeks or six years since delivery.
Many women continue to experience issues such as discomfort, weakness, pelvic floor symptoms or reduced confidence in movement long after childbirth. Too often, these concerns are minimised or women are advised to simply “get on with it”. The Mummy MOT® offers specialist physiotherapy support to properly assess these issues and guide recovery at a pace that suits you.

- Price: £160
- Insurance: This service is not covered by medical insurance
A 15% discount is available for:
- Existing Barbican Physio patients
- Corporate contract employees

Complimentary sessions – Limited availability
As part of a soft launch, a limited number of complimentary Mummy MOT® assessments are available to existing patients and corporate contacts.
These sessions are offered on a limited basis and include a request for feedback to help us refine the service. With permission, positive comments (first name only) may be used in future promotion of the service.
